Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is keen to use the next two weeks to reach full match-fitness in time for the Nerazzurri’s return to Serie A to face Napoli in January.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 29-year-old is hoping to use friendly matches against Reggina and Sassuolo as well as the next two weeks of training to be ready to start against the Partenopei.
Lukaku is anticipated to start in today’s friendly match against Serie B side Reggina.
The match will be an important opportunity for the Belgian to get playing time in his legs, having spent the past weeks working on building up his athletic condition.
The 29-year-old will also have the opportunity to take the pitch against Sassuolo next week, and between these two friendlies he is hoping that he can be ready to start against Napoli.
