Inter-linked Empoli wingback Fabiano Parisi is happy that his performances have attracted the attention of bigger clubs, though his focus remains on the present and his current club.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview published in today’s print edition, via FCInterNews, the 22-year-old stressed that right now he does not want to get too far ahead of himself.

Parisi’s performances with Empoli particularly since the Tuscans were promoted to Serie A at the start of the 2021-22 season have meant that there has been plenty of transfer interest around him.

Inter have been one of the teams most persistently linked, perhaps not surprising given that he is a young Italian talent who plays in a position where the Nerazzurri have frequently been looking for new signings.

For his part, Parisi is happy that his performances for Empoli aren’t going unnoticed, but right now his focus is squarely on his current team.

“I’m happy to be linked with a lot of teams, of course, but I’m focused on Empoli and reaching safety in Serie A,” he said.

“Every day I work hard and try to become better.”

“Let’s talk about it again in June, after Empoli stay in Serie A, I’m very grateful to my club.”
