Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin believes that Inter and Milan Skriniar’s contract extension negotiations are now focused on add-ons.

Reporting in a tweet, Biasin explained that at this stage, the matter of add-ons is the main point in the talks between the Nerazzurri and the Slovakian and his representatives, and that a conclusion to the negotiations one way or the other is expected before the Supercoppa Italiana match.

Skriniar has yet to give a definitive response to Inter’s contract extension offer.

The club had hoped and expected that one would arrive before Christmas, but it now looks as though the talks are set to go beyond the World Cup break.

As far as the wages that the Nerazzurri will offer the 27-year-old on a new deal, the fixed amount is fairly clear.

However, the add-ons could well prove to be the decisive factor in reaching terms that both parties would be happy with.

Biasin tweeted that “The offer is still the €6 million net per season one, there’s still some distance.”

“Work is being done on add-ons, a final ‘yes or no’ update is expected before the team travel to Saudi Arabia.”‘

“‘But wasn’t there supposed to be a conclusion before Christmas?'” he poses “You wouldn’t be wrong for asking.”
