Goalkeeper Andre Onana and wingback Federico Dimarco were Inter’s two outstanding performers in a 2-0 friendly win over Reggina yesterday evening.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who also name Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Raoul Bellanova as the most disappointing Nerazzurri players on the day.

Onana showed no signs of a World Cup hangover with a very sharp-looking performance in goal to keep a clean sheet against Serie B high-flyers Reggina.

Meanwhile, Dimarco was one of the driving forces for the Nerazzurri with the kind of incisive passing and deliveries that have come to be expected based on his performances this season.

Mkhitaryan, on the other hand, put in a much quieter display than he had in the team’s previous friendlies of the World Cup break against Gzira United, Red Bull Salzburg, and Real Betis.

Lastly, the Gazzetta argue that Bellanova did not take advantage of the opportunity to impress on Inter’s right flank, not showing the kind of quality that Denzel Dumfries would have.
