Inter could re-sign Avellino defender Lorenzo Moretti and sell him on to Genoa for a profit.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, via FCInterNews, who report that the Grifone are keen on signing the 20-year-old, and that the Nerazzurri have a buyback option on him from Serie C side Avellino.

Moretti was sold from Inter to Avellino during the summer transfer window.

The Campanians play in Serie C, where Moretti has found a rich vein of form.

This has attracted the interest of Genoa in particular, with newly-appointed head coach Alberto Gilardino particularly keen on signing him to the Ligurian club.

Inter could stand to profit, as they have a buyback option on the deal that saw Moretti transfer Avellino during the summer.

The Nerazzurri could buy back the young defender, who came through their youth system before departing in the summer, and then immediately sell him on to Genoa.
