Italian football agent Massimo Brambati feels that Inter made an error in deciding not to sell Milan Skriniar during the summer transfer window.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio, via FCInterNews, Brambati gave his thoughts on the 27-year-old’s situation at the Nerazzurri, suggesting that he would stay at the club but understands a player deciding to leave.

Inter ultimately took the decision not to allow Milan Skriniar to be sold during the summer.

At one point, a move to Paris Saint-Germain had looked close for the Slovakian.

However, the French champions never quite reached the Nerazzurri’s asking price, whilst the failure to sign a replacement in the form of Bremer was also a factor in the club’s decision.

Now, Inter find themselves in the tight spot of trying to convince Skriniar to extend his contract, where if they are unable to, he will be free to leave on a free transfer in the summer.

“I don’t understand why he keeps postponing the date for the response if he wants to stay,” Brambati said.

“I’d extend if I were him, €6 million net per season would still be a big pay raise.”

The agent then said that “The big mistake was not selling him when they had the chance.”

“Turning down €60 million and then losing him for free would be a big difference, especially for a team like Inter.”
