There would be next to no chance of Inter signing Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram during the January transfer window given the cost.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Libero, via L’Interista, who report that the Nerazzurri would hardly be able to get a deal done for the 25-year-old for a fee in January.
Reports have emerged suggesting that Inter may try to make a move to sign Thuram in January rather than waiting for the summer when he would be available on a free transfer.
The advantage of doing this would be that it could give the Nerazzurri the jump on the significant competition for the Frenchman’s signature, which would likely only grow for the summer.
However, according to Libero, there would be little actual chance of this happening, as the costs associated with signing Thuram for a fee would be unrealistic given the Nerazzurri’s finances.
