Racing Club midfielder Carlos Alcaraz would be Inter’s Plan B option in midfield if they are unable to sign Valencia’s Yunus Musah.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Nerazzurri would be ready to meet Racing Club’s €20 million asking price for the 19-year-old should they prove unable to sign Musah.

Inter are all but certain to make a midfield signing in the next couple of transfer windows.

The impending departure of Roberto Gagliardini when the former Atalanta midfielder’s contract runs out at the end of June 2023 means that the Nerazzurri will be looking to reinforce in central areas.

Valencia midfielder Musah would be Inter’s first choice, but given that he is valued at €40 million, could prove unattainable for financial reasons.

Accordingly, the Nerazzurri would be ready to move for Alcaraz as an alternative to Musah.

The Argentine would be amenable to joining the Nerazzurri, whilst his club value him at €15 million, a price which Inter would happily meet.
