Atalanta will not sell Inter-linked defender Giorgio Scalvini during the January transfer window unless a massive offer arrives.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908, who report that the 19-year-old would be unlikely to leave La Dea during the January window and that his club would hold out for a fee of under €50-60 million.

Scalvini has emerged as one of Inter’s major targets for reinforcing their defense in the long term.

The young defender is also the subject of interest from a number of top clubs in Serie A as well as around other leagues in Europe.

Atalanta are keen to hold onto Scalvini for the rest of the current season at the very least, as he is seen as an important part of their team and they want to see how he develops.

Accordingly, not only would it be very unlikely that Inter could move for Scalvini next month, but also that they could be beaten to his signature by any other club.
