Club Brugge winger Tajon Buchanan has become Inter’s top target to replace Denzel Dumfries on the right should the Dutchman depart.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri have lined up the Canadian as their number-one target in the event that Dumfries is sold.
Buchanan’s performances for Brugge and for the Canadian national team have impressed the Nerazzurri significantly.
The 23-year-old is seen as having the ideal qualities to replace a player like Dumfries like-for-like on Inter’s right flank.
Accordingly, the Gazzetta reports, Buchanan is now being seen as the top target to replace Dumfries if the 26-year-old former PSV wingback is sold, which has looked increasingly likely.
It remains to be seen what Brugge would demand for Buchanan in the event that Inter do move for him, or what the competition for his signature would look like.
