Inter have made Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini their priority target in defense, and are pursuing all possible avenues to sign the 19-year-old.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com who report that the Nerazzurri could aim to sign Scalvini if Milan Skriniar leaves, and are also considering the inclusion of a player going the other way to convince La Dea on a deal.

Inter are increasingly certain of Scalvini’s status as a priority target to strengthen in the long term.

However, Atalanta will not let the youngster go for cheap.

Accordingly, the Nerazzurri are thinking of ways to bring Scalvini within their price range.

If Milan Skriniar were to decline to extend his contract and leave at the end of the summer, then the club would no longer pay the €13 million gross wages that have been offered to him, and this could instead be put towards a move for Scalvini.

Meanwhile, Inter are also thinking about trying to convince Atalanta on a player-plus-cash offer.
