Boca Juniors are set to make one more attempt to extend the contract of Inter-linked goalkeeper Agustin Rossi over the next few days, and then he will be free to leave in the summer if he rejects this.

This according to Argentine broadcaster Xeneizes, via FCInterNews, who report that the 27-year-old’s inclination is to move to a club in Europe should he decide not to extend his deal with the Argentine giants.

Rossi has emerged as one of Inter’s main targets to replace Samir Handanovic as a backup to Andre Onana next season should the captain depart at the end of his current contract.

The fact that the Argentine would be available on a free transfer in June if he does not extend his deal with Boca is a key factor in the Nerazzurri’s interest.

The Argentines have not fully given up hope, but see the next few days as do-or-die as far as keeping hold of Rossi.

The 27-year-old is also a target for Flamengo, and sees a move to Europe as his ideal.
