Inter have rejected offers from all of Bayer Leverkusen, Leicester City, and Wolfsburg for wingback Robin Gosens, who now wants to stay during the January transfer window.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the mood has changed decisively in favour of the 28-year-old remaining at the Nerazzurri until at least June and trying to finally establish a starting spot for himself.

Gosens had at one point looked to have one foot out the door at Inter.

A combination of Federico Dimarco’s outstanding form on Inter’s left flank and a lack of the best form from the former Atalanta wingback meant that he has only made a handful of starts so far this season.

The lack of regular playing time over the past twelve months led to Gosens being left out of Germany’s squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

All of this had led to strong transfer rumours around Gosens, who was reportedly ready to move on to try and reestablish himself at a team where he would be able to start regularly.

Moreover, the Nerazzurri had reportedly started their search for a left-sided wingback capable of replacing the German.

However, now things look to have changed completely.

As far as Inter are concerned, offers from all of Leverkusen, Leicester, and Wolfsburg have been rejected for Gosens.

Meanwhile, the player is also more confident about staying on and having a positive second part of the season with the Nerazzurri.

The 28-year-old’s form in training has impressed everyone, and convinced both he and Inter that staying in January will be the best option for all involved.
