Inter will only extend the loan deal of striker Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea if it is at lower terms than the ones agreed last summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInter1908, who report that the €8.5 million loan fee and €11 gross salary are considered to be too high by the Nerazzurri, who will make a decision on the Belgian’s future in the spring.

Lukaku’s disappointing performances so far this season, mostly due to injuries, have meant that the Nerazzurri are far from certain on extending his loan from Chelsea past next June.

The Nerazzurri will wait to see whether the 29-year-old former Manchester United and Everton striker can finally put together a run of good performances in the second part of the campaign, as he pushes to return to his best physical condition for January.

What is virtually certain, however, is that the Nerazzurri are not keen to extend Lukaku’s loan at the same terms that they agreed with Chelsea and the player last summer.
