Juventus are stepping up their pursuit of Inter-linked Benfica wingback Alex Grimaldo on a free transfer for next summer transfer window.
This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, via L’Interista, who report that the Bianconeri are getting closer and closer to agreeing a deal to sign the 27-year-old, who has been linked with the Nerazzurri in the past.
Grimaldo has been one of the names on Inter’s radar as a possible replacement for Robin Gosens on their left flank.
The Spaniard’s availability on a free transfer when his deal with Benfica expires at the end of June 2023 would make him an attractive target to add quality at low cost.
However, the Nerazzurri are now likely to miss out on signing the 27-year-old, according to Calciomercato.
Derby d’Italia rivals Juventus have been pursuing Grimaldo, and look to be close to agreeing a deal with he and his representatives for next summer.
