Inter Vice-President Javier Zanetti feels that the city of Milan has always been good to him.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Rai Radio, via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri executive and former captain stressed that he has always felt welcomed by the city of Milan, and expressed his pride at having captained Inter whilst living there.

Zanetti’s story with Inter is ongoing, as the Argentine has adopted the role of Vice-President behind the scenes over the past few years.

The Argentine’s playing career saw him establish himself as one of the club’s all-time greats on the pitch, captaining the team to multiple trophies including the European Treble during the 2009-10 season.

Now, Zanetti leads the Nerazzurri into the future from an executive role, continuing his adventure.

For his part, the Inter Vice-President feels that the city of Milan has always played an important role in making this possible for him.

“Milan is a wonderful city,” he said, “very welcoming and generous.”

“There has always been a certain hidden beauty here,” he added.

“I arrived here at a very young age from Argentina, and I fulfilled my dream of becoming Inter captain.
