Both defender Danilo D’Ambrosio and forward Joaquin Correa are set to miss out on Inter’s friendly match against Sassuolo tomorrow through injury.

This according to yesterday’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the duo will not be called up to face the Neroverdi as they continue to recover from injury, and also that Lautaro Martinez and Marcelo Brozovic won’t be back.

D’Ambrosio and Correa have both spent the World Cup break recovering from injuries.

Neither of the pair travelled with the team to their training retreat in Malta where they faced the likes of Gzira United and Red Bull Salzburg.

In addition, both D’Ambrosio and Correa were out of the team for subsequent friendlies against Real Betis and La Liga.

Meanwhile, the Gazzetta reports, Martinez and Brozovic will not be back from their post-World Cup holidays in time to play in tomorrow’s match against Sassuolo.
