Inter could still increase their contract extension offer to defender Milan Skriniar when they hold the next meeting in negotiations in January.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who reported this afternoon via FCInter1908 that the Nerazzurri will meet with the 27-year-old and his representatives where they could offer more than €6.5 million net per season, in addition to a key role in the future of the project.

Skriniar has yet to give a response to Inter’s offer which has been on the table for some weeks.

It has been reported that the Nerazzurri do not feel that they can go any higher than they already have with their offer, which stands at around €6.5 million.

However, the club are ready to make another push to convince the Slovakian.

According to Sky, the Nerazzurri could still raise their offer to try and get an agreement wrapped up, whilst they could also emphasize his role at the centre of the project, and possibly the captaincy.
