Inter want to move fast to sign Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini and beat the competition, and could try to secure a deal for June with midfielder Giovanni Fabbian going the other way.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are hoping that the inclusion of Fabbian would make a deal with La Dea possible.

Atalanta have made clear that Scalvini will not leave until at least next summer.

The competition to sign the 19-year-old looks to be fierce, however.

The likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich have all shown interest in signing Scalvini.

The asking price from Atalanta would be at least €40 million, although a bidding war from big teams abroad could raise this to €50 million.

In any event, the Nerazzurri are hoping that the inclusion of Fabbian in an offer, a player who La Dea are big admirers of based on his loan spell with Reggina and who the Nerazzurri value at at least €15 million, could be their decisive advantage.

Inter are looking to work well in advance to lay the groundwork for a transfer of Scalvini in June.
