Inter President Steven Zhang could look to sell Milan Skriniar next month should the defender decide not to extend his current contract.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri President could tell the club directors to consider offers of at least €20 million during the January transfer window should the 27-year-old confirm he is leaving.

Inter’s current priority certainly remains to agree a new contract with Skriniar.

However, with the Slovakian’s definitive response to their offer expected by mid-January, the situation could change if he makes clear that he has no plans of accepting the deal that is on the table.

In this event, Inter President Zhang could decide that it is better to cash in on the former Sampdoria defender rather than lose him for free in six months time.

The President could ask the directors to listen to offers of at least €20 million in that case.
