Inter are set to meet with the agents of defender Alessandro Bastoni in the next few days to begin contract extension talks.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri are ready to offer the 23-year-old a big wage increase to convince him to sign a new deal past the end of June 2024.
Given that Bastoni’s current contract runs out at the end of June 2024, his situation is not as imminently important as those of his defensive partners Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij.
However, Inter have no intention of letting the situation drag on too far without clarity on Bastoni’s future.
Accordingly, the Nerazzurri are set to hold the first real meeting with the player’s representatives in the next few days to kick off contract extension negotiations.
Bastoni currently earns around €2.8 million net per season, and the Nerazzurri would be prepared to offer a significant increase compared to this.
