Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic could already be fit enough to start in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Napoli in just over a week.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 30-year-old could very well be in the starting eleven to face the Partenopei despite having made a deep run at the World Cup in Qatar with Croatia.

Brozovic is expected back in training on either Thursday or Friday following his post-World Cup vacation, although it cannot be ruled out that he will already decide to return today or tomorrow.

The fact that the 30-year-old made it as far as the semi-finals with his national team at the World Cup has meant that it is doubtful that he will have enough time to adequately prepare for the match against Napoli in just a few training sessions after his return from vacation.

However, the Corriere reports, there is a very real chance that the Croat will manage to be fit to start the match.
