Inter could activate a buyback option on striker Samuele Mulattieri from Frosinone next summer and sell him at a profit.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri’s €4.5 million buyback option on the 22-year-old could enable them to cash in on him as interest from teams in Serie A builds.

Frosinone have the option to buy Mulattieri on a permanent basis at the end of his season-long loan spell.

It looks likely that the Lazio-based team will activate this option given that the young striker is currently helping to fire them to promotion to Serie A.

However, Inter have the option to immediately buy Mulattieri back for €4.5 million.

Given that teams in Serie A are already starting to come forward with an interest in signing Mulattieri, the Nerazzurri could well decide to exercise this option and then sell the striker in the summer.
