Inter are ready to make a five-year contract offer to Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are close to making their official offer, worth around €5 million net per season, to the the Frenchman for June.

The Nerazzurri’s interest in signing Thuram has hardly been a secret, and the talks with his representatives have been ongoing for a number of weeks.

Now, Inter are ready to make the 25-year-old an official offer for June when he will be available on a free transfer.

According to the Gazzetta, the Nerazzurri are prepared to go as high as €5 million net per season in an offer to Thuram, as they want him to be a central part of their project in attack.

This would not be as high as the offer made by teams in the Premier League, with Newcastle United particularly keen.

However, the Nerazzurri are hoping that they can convince Thuram that their project is the right next step for him.

According to the Gazzetta, Thuram has little interest in moving in January even if his club would be willing to listen to offers of around €10 million.
