Inter have set the 15th of January as their deadline for contract extension negotiations with defender Milan Skriniar to be completely wrapped up.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri are hoping that they can finally get the future of the 27-year-old clarified by the middle of next month.

Inter had initially tried to get a decisive response to their contract extension offer from Skriniar and his representatives before Christmas, but the response has been delayed.

The Slovakian has yet to make a final decision on his future, leaving the Nerazzurri waiting for a response.

At least one more meeting will be needed before the Nerazzurri can get clarity on Skriniar’s contract situation, with the 27-year-old former Sampdoria defender’s current deal running out at the end of June 2023.

According to Mediaset, the club have set the date of January 15 as the latest that they will let the situation drag on.
