Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi will have to get his strike pair of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez back in form after disappointing performances at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who highlight the importance of the coach getting his two strikers back in business.

Lukaku and Martinez had contrasting tournaments in terms of the fate of their teams, with the Belgian crashing out at the group stages whilst the Argentine won the trophy.

However, neither of the pair showed anything close to their best individual form, with both failing to get a goal or assist in Qatar.

This will clearly not be what Inzaghi is looking for over the second part of the season, and so the question of whether the coach can get the strike pair to shake off their World Cups could be decisive for the Nerazzurri in front of goal.
