Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic will have a week in which to try and reach full match-fitness ahead of the Nerazzurri’s clash with Napoli on Wednesday.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Croat believes that he can be fully ready to start against the Partenopei in his team’s return to Serie A action next week.

Brozovic has been back in Milan for a couple days now.

The 30-year-old has been looking to get sharp again after his post-World Cup vacation, and to rebuild his chemistry with his teammates in training.

The midfielder is not yet ready to start in this evening’s friendly match against Sassuolo.

However, it should not be long now before Brozovic is fully match-fit.

The 30-year-old is looking squarely at Wednesday’s match against Napoli as his target, and he will have one week in which to reach fitness.
