Former Reggina coach Roberto Stellone believes that young midfielder Giovanni Fabbian will be a player capable of making an impact for Inter, either on the pitch or the transfer market.

Speaking to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908, the coach named the 19-year-old Nerazzurri midfielder, currently on loan with Reggina, as one of the players who has impressed him most so far during the Serie B season.

Fabbian joined Reggina on loan during the summer, as it was decided that a spell in the second division was the right next step for the 19-year-old to take his first real steps within the senior professional game.

The choice of destinations looks to have been the right one.

Playing under Filippo Inzaghi, Fabbian has seen his game come on leaps and bounds, and has emerged as one of the key players for a Reggina team who are pushing for promotion to Serie A.

Asked who he considered to be the standout players in the second division over the first part of the campaign, Stelone said that “Nicolussi Caviglia at Sudtirol has been among the best, and he can be a very useful player for Juventus going forward.”

“The same is true of Fabbian at Reggina,” the former coach went on, “he’s having a brilliant season on loan with Reggina.

Stellone also praised another player currently on loan from Inter, stating that “Samuele Mulattieri has been impressing me a lot, he is a very good striker with a good future ahead of him.”
