Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is almost completely fit ahead of next week’s Serie A clash with Napoli.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908, who report that there is a very good chance that the 30-year-old will be available to Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi for the match on Wednesday.
Brozovic returned to training a few days ago after his post-World Cup vacation.
Given that the 30-year-old had had to come off with a minor muscular problem during Croatia’s semifinal loss to Argentina at the tournament, there had been some concern that he would not be fit in time for the return to Serie A action.
However, according to the Gazzetta, the assessments of Brozovic’s condition have shown that he is close to fully fit already.
Accordingly, Inter coach Inzaghi should have all of Brozovic, Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to select from in midfield against Napoli.
