Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin believes that Inter striker Edin Dzeko cannot be left out of the starting eleven for next week’s match against Napoli on the form that he’s in.

Tweeting after the Bosnian’s performance in yesterday evening’s friendly match against Sassuolo, the journalist gave the view that the 36-year-old must start against the Partenopei.

Dzeko has been training with Inter throughout the World Cup break, and yesterday’s match against Sassuolo was only the latest friendly that the former Roma striker started in.

The Bosnian got on the scoresheet, scoring the game’s only goal, and had also capped off a good performance with a goal in the Nerazzurri’s friendly win over Reggina last week.

It is not certain which strikers that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will go with from the start against Napoli, particularly with Lautaro Martinez back training in Milan.

However, in Biasin’s view, the form that Dzeko has been in virtually necessitates that he must be among them.

He tweeted that “Edin Dzeko can’t be left out of the starting eleven when Inter face Napoli.”
