Premier League side Leeds United are targeting Villarreal wingback Alfonso Pedraza, whilst Inter’s interest in the Spaniard has cooled off.

This according to Spanish news outlet AS, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are no longer pursuing the 26-year-old Spaniard now that they have decided to put their faith in Robin Gosens.

Pedraza was widely reported to be one of Inter’s main targets to reinforce on the left flank in the event that Gosens were to depart.

The German former Atalanta wingback had been linked with a move away, possibly even as early as during the January transfer window.

Pedraza had been lined up as an ideal like-for-like replacement, and there was receptiveness on the player’s part to joining Inter.

However, Gosens now looks to be very unlikely to leave Inter in January, as the club back the 28-year-old to make an impact over the rest of the season.

Accordingly, AS report, the Nerazzurri are no longer seriously targeting Pedraza.

In the meantime, Leeds have stepped up in their pursuit of the 26-year-old.
