Brighton Coach Roberto De Zerbi On Inter & Juventus Target Alexis Mac Allister: “I Hope He Can Stay Here”

Brighton and Hove Albion head coach Roberto De Zerbi is hoping that Alexis Mac Allister can stay with the Seagulls despite transfer interest from Inter and other clubs.

Speaking in a press conference, as reported by FCInter1908, the coach gave his thoughts on the Nerazzurri and Juventus target’s future.

Mac Allister has emerged as a prominent name on the transfer market.

The 23-year-old’s performances for Argentina at the World Cup in particular has marked him out as a target for some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

The likes of Inter and Juventus have been the most strongly-linked teams in Serie A, with the Argentine reported to be on the Nerazzurri’s list of possible replacements should Nicolo Barella be sold.

Meanwhile, teams in the Premier League and in La Liga have also been linked with an interest in signing the 23-year-old from Brighton.

For his part, however, former Sassuolo, Benevento, and Shakhtar Donetsk coach De Zerbi, who took over at the Seagulls in the fall, would like for Mac Allister to stay.

“I’d like to be able to keep all the players in the squad here,” the coach said.

“My hope is that Mac Allister and [midfielder Moises] Caicedo can remain here.”
