Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will push to bring in Udinese centre-back Rodrigo Becao this summer, after becoming convinced by him.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Repubblica, the former Lazio coach is a big admirer of the Brazilian defender and would like Inter to make a move for him at the end of the season.

The Nerazzurri are in the market for a centre-back and CEO Beppe Marotta has been tasked with securing a new defender for next season, particularly as Milan Skriniar and Stefan De Vrij are out of contract in the summer,

Becao has 18 months remaining on his contract at the Dacia Arena and it is reported that he would be available for less than €10 million next summer, making him a more affordable option for Inter.

In addition to Becao, Inter are also monitoring Roma centre-back Chris Smalling as he considers his future with the Giallorossi.

The Englishman is out of contract at the end of the season but has an option to pen an extension, whilst more costly options include Chelsea’s Kalidou Koulibaly and Atalanta teenager Giorgio Scalvini.
