As they await a decision on a contract extension, Inter have not issued any ultimatums to defender Milan Skriniar.

According to Italian television broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri have not set a deadline for the Slovakia international to agree to new terms, despite suggestions to the contrary from elsewhere.

Further to this, Inter and Skriniar’s representatives are set to meet in the coming weeks in an effort to reach an agreement, with the Nerazzurri hopeful that the centre-back will commit his future to the club.

Skriniar is approaching the final six months of his contract at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and would be available as a free agent in the summer should he not pen a new deal.

The 27-year-old arrived at Inter from fellow Serie A club Sampdoria in 2017 and has gone on to make 236 appearances for the Nerazzurri, and lifted the Scudetto in 2021.
