Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito has emerged as a target for Serie B club Modena and could be recalled from a loan at Anderlecht to complete the switch.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the 20-year-old could return to Italy after a disappointing spell in the Belgian First Division, and Modena are ready to pounce for him.

The Canarini are in the market for a striker for the second half of the season, with coach Attilio Tesser looking to add to his attacking options and strengthen their push for promotion.

Esposito has struggled to impress since joining Anderlecht in the summer, and 14 league appearances have only yielded a single goal.

The former FC Basel loanee has also struck once from three Europa Conference League matches, but appears to be increasingly likely to cut his stint in Belgium short, with a move to Serie B now an option for him.
