Inter are ready to arrange a meeting with the agents of defender Milan Skriniar within the next two weeks, as they seek to avoid losing him on a free transfer in the summer.

According to Italian television broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri are determined to avoid a repeat of the situation which saw wingback Ivan Perisic run down his contract and join Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer this season.

With Skriniar approaching the final six months of his contract at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Inter are still waiting for an answer on a €6 million per year proposal.

Inter require a decision before the January transfer window closes so that they can plan accordingly, even if it means selling him to avoid losing him for nothing.

As a result, the Nerazzurri have arranged a meeting with his agents to take place over the coming fortnight to find a solution, after never receiving a definitive answer from the Slovakia international.
