Strikers Romelu Lukaku and Edin Dzeko are likely to be the starting pair for Inter in next Wednesday’s Serie A clash with Napoli.
This according to the online edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi is leaning towards starting the pair in the clash with the Partenopei next week.
Lukaku and Dzeko have been the starting pair in both of Inter’s past two friendly matches, against Reggina and Sassuolo.
The return of Lautaro Martinez could give Inzaghi another option in attack, and the 25-year-old will have the chance to try and convince the coach to give him a starting place against the Partenopei in training this week.
However, the form shown by Lukaku and Dzeko together against Reggina and Sassuolo as well as in training looks to have made up Inzaghi’s mind for him.
The coach is leaning towards continuing on with the in-form duo to start against Napoli.
