Argentina’s World Cup winning midfielder Alexis Mac Allister is set to return to Brighton tomorrow, and the Inter target is already being linked with a move away.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 24-year-old will fly back to England today after being granted time off by the Seagulls following his triumph in Qatar, and will return to training tomorrow.

Mac Allister could be in line to feature in the Premier League against Everton on Tuesday, but speculation continues to mount that he will leave the AMEX Stadium, with Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United all linked with him.

Inter have also been paired with Mac Allister and could make an effort to bring him to Serie A should one of their key midfielders be sold at the end of the season.

However, the former Argentinos Juniors player has shown no desire to push for an exit, and Brighton are reluctant to lose their prized asset midseason, whilst they have set an asking price of at least €40 million for the summer.

The Seagulls have proven themselves to be shrewd negotiators in the sales of Ben White to Arsenal for £50m, and Marc Cucurella to Chelsea last year for £60m, and have no intention of losing Mac Allister on the cheap.
