Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is expected to be named in the starting line-up for Wednesday’s Serie A clash against league leaders Napoli.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Croatia international has recovered from an injury picked up during his country’s 3-0 World Cup semi-final defeat to Argentina last month.

Brozovic is in line to make his first start for Inter since September, having missed most of the season with injury prior to the winter break, and only making three substitute appearances before the World Cup.

Fellow midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to drop out of coach Simone Inzaghi’s starting line-up after complaining of a lower back issue during Thursday’s friendly against Sassuolo, and so Brozovic will be joined by Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella in the centre.

Meanwhile, Inzaghi is expected to opt for Edin Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku as his attacking options, with Lautaro Martinez set for a place on the bench.
