Inter are unlikely to sign Villarreal wingback Alfonso Pedraza, with the Spaniard being targeted by Premier League club Leeds United.

According to Spanish outlet La Razon, and as reported by L’Interista.it, the Nerazzurri had identified Pedraza as a target to challenge Federico Dimarco, but have cooled their interest in him following a series of impressive displays from Robin Gosens in the winter break.

With Gosens now expected to stay at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza this month, the door to a move to Serie A has closed on Pedraza and he could now be in line for a return to Leeds.

The 26-year-old joined the Whites on loan for the second half of the Championship season in 2016-17 and has remained on the radar of Leeds sporting director Victor Orta.

Similarly, the poor form and injury troubles of Junior Firpo at leftback have pushed Leeds into the transfer market, and they could return to their former player ahead of Inter.
