Contract extension talks between inter and defender Milan Skriniar have been postponed until after the Supercoppa Italiana match against AC Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that there is not likely to be any movement regarding the contract talks as the team focus on their return to the pitch starting Wednesday.
Inter had hoped to get contract extension talks with Skriniar wrapped up during the World Cup break.
However, the Slovakian’s response has been delayed, past Christmas and past New Year’s.
Now, the Nerazzurri’s attention, and Skriniar’s, will be shifted to Wednesday’s match against Napoli, and then to the packed fixture list from then on.
Accordingly, the talks are unlikely to continue during the next couple of weeks, according to Tuttosport.
Instead, the Nerazzurri will likely resume the talks after the team face city rivals Milan in the Supercoppa in Saudi Arabia during the middle of the month.
