Inter are ready to offload defender Dalbert and are close to reaching an agreement to send him to Serie B club Genoa.

As reported in yesterday’s newspaper edition of Repubblica, the Brazilian fullback has no future at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and Inter are keen to move him on in the January transfer window, so a transfer to the Grifone is becoming increasingly likely.

The former Nice player was not expected to remain at Inter this season but a serious knee injury sustained in the summer saw him undergo his physical recovery work with the Nerazzurri.

Dalbert has now returned to full fitness and is set to find a new club this month, with Genoa being proposed as a destination for the remainder of the season.

Indeed, it is reported that the deal is not likely to be completed and could be wrapped up within a short space of time, and Dalbert will drop down to Serie B to help the Grifone secure promotion.
