Inter are increasingly worried that they will not be able to convince defender Milan Skriniar to extend his contract as the interest from Paris Saint-Germain in signing the 27-year-old remains.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that pessimism is starting the creep in for the Nerazzurri directors.
At this stage, each day that goes by without Skriniar giving his response to Inter’s contract extension offer ratchets up the tension as far as the talks with the club.
The Nerazzurri are certainly expecting a response from the Slovakian within the next few weeks, but finding it increasingly difficult to be hopeful given that he continues to delay his response.
In the meantime, PSG remain as interested as ever in signing Skriniar.
The Parisians are not overly inclined to move for the former Sampdoria defender this month, however, and would be likelier to try and sign him on a free transfer in June.
