Inter are waiting to see whether Chelsea make the first move to try and sign wingback Denzel Dumfries.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Blues have yet to take concrete steps towards signing the Dutchman either this month or in June, but the Nerazzurri are anticipating them.

Dumfries is a major target for Chelsea.

There have been strong suggestions that the London-based clubs could move their timeline for trying to sign the 26-year-old former PSV wingback to the January transfer window after an injury to right-back Reece James.

However, as of yet no movement has come from Chelsea, who are reportedly wary of the €60 million asking price that the Nerazzurri have put on him after the World Cup.

Meanwhile, should Inter decide that they want to extend the loan of striker Romelu Lukaku, then the Belgian could also become a part of the talks for Dumfries.
