Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is very keen to start in Wednesday’s Serie A clash with Napoli.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 25-year-old is impressing in training, and could give Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi a real decision to make in attack.

Martinez only returned to Inter training from his post-World Cup vacation towards the end of last week.

For this reason, it has been reported that a duo of Romelu Lukaku and Edin Dzeko would likely lead the line for the Nerazzurri against Napoli on Wednesday.

The pair have had several weeks training together at the disposal of Inzaghi, and have given positive signals in the team’s last couple friendlies.

However, for his part, Martinez remains very keen on breaking into Inter’s starting eleven despite his relatively late return to training.

The Argentine has been doing everything he can in training to get fit enough to start against the Partenopei, and looks ready to make coach Inzaghi’s choice a difficult one.
