Napoli have made an offer of €20 million to Angers to sign midfielder Azzedine Ounahi, to try and beat out the competition of Inter, Leicester City, and other teams around Europe.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Partenopei have offered to sign the 22-year-old this month, but then loan him back for the rest of the season.

Ounahi’s form for the Moroccan national team at the World Cup in Qatar has marked the Angers midfielder out as a target for a number of teams in Europe.

Napoli had already been tracking Ounahi prior to the World Cup, and they are keen to try and get a deal done early to snap him up before other clubs start getting serious.

Accordingly, the Partenopei have offered Ounahi’s club €20 million during the January transfer window, but with the addition of loaning him back for the remainder of the campaign so that he can continue to contribute.
