Referee Simone Sozza has been appointed to be in charge of Inter’s Serie A clash with Napoli on Wednesday.

This is confirmed by an announcement of all the match officials for the round of fixtures by the Lega Serie A, as reported by FCInterNews, which also names the rest of the officiating crew for the match.

Sozza will be assisted in his duties by the likes of Filippo Meli and Giorgio Meli.

Meanwhile the role of fourth official will be filled by Marco Piccinini.

In the VAR booth, Michael Fabbri will oversee the match to ensure that any clear and obvious errors made by the on-pitch officials are corrected.

Fabbri will be assisted in his duties by Gianluca Aureliano.

The Nerazzurri will be hoping that the focus stays on the action on the pitch and not on any officiating controversies as they go in search of three points to reduce the Partenopei’s advantage at the top of the table.
