Inter are close to agreeing a contract extension with wingback Matteo Darmian.
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported on air this evening via FCInter1908 that the Nerazzurri have made significant progress to agreeing a new one-year deal with the 33-year-old, with the option of a further season.
Darmian’s contract runs out at the end of June, but the Nerazzurri have made clear that they would like to extend his time at the club past the end of the season.
The talks have gone in a positive direction, and according to Di Marzio, it shouldn’t be long before the former Manchester United and Torino player puts pen to paper on a new deal.
Meanwhile, Di Marzio reports, the question of Edin Dzeko’s future could be discussed after the January transfer window.
The Bosnian’s deal runs out at the end of June like that of Darmian, and the Nerazzurri are also keen to give him a new contract.
