Inter have received a total of around €2 million from FIFA as part of the Club Benefits Program for all Nerazzurri players who have been involved in international action over the past two years.

This according to Italian news outlet Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the World Cup winner Lautaro Martinez alone accounts for €350,000 of the payments on his own.

FIFA has made payments to clubs as part of its program to reimburse for the involvement of players in international action.

Given that players can potentially become injured or otherwise fatigued as a result of the addition of international fixtures to the fixture list, as Inter found out with Marcelo Brozovic who suffered a thigh injury during the September international break, the governing body is reimbursing clubs.

A number of Nerazzurri players have been extensively involved with their national teams over the past few years, but none moreso than Martinez, who won both the Copa America and the World Cup with Argentina during the period.
