Inter could look to the tactical approach that worked for them in their Champions League matches against Barcelona to try and get the better of Napoli this evening.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, who argue that the Nerazzurri could get joy by keeping a compact shape and hitting the league leaders on the break.

Inter have been associated with an expansive, possession-based style of play under Simone Inzaghi.

The coach has occasionally shown a willingness to deviate from this formula, however.

Against the Blaugranas, in matches that Inzaghi and Inter virtually needed to get results from to save their season early on, the coach set the team up to absorb pressure and spring precise attacking moves from front to back when the chances presented themselves.

This was an approach that worked against Barcelona, and in the view of the Corriere della Sera, it could be just what the Nerazzurri need to hand Napoli their first defeat of the Serie A season.
